 Press Release

Karachi, dated: 27th November, 2011, The Provincial Coordination Unit, Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Youth Development Program (BBSYDP) under Chief Minister’s Secretariat, Sindh held an aptitude test through National Testing Services (NTS) Pakistan in 23 Districts of Sindh for selection of 5,050 trainees under Japan Social Development Fund (JSDF) Grant and 15,000 trainees under Phase-IV of the BBSYDP. The number of candidates who appeared in the test in the 23 districts, exceeded 63,000 (Sixty Three Thousand) which is a record in its self that such a big number of youth has appeared for any entry / selection test. A week before the conduction of the test for skill based trainings, BBSYDP teams were mobilized throughout the province to create awareness in the general public particularly in the youth of Sindh aged between 18-35 years (Male & Female) about this revolutionary program of imparting skills to the youth of Sindh to be able to get decent employment.

The youth of Sindh responded tremendously to the appeal of BBSYDP and thronged the test centers in all the district of Sindh. It was very difficult for NTS to control such a big crowd of youth but tests were conducted peacefully in all the districts of Sindh except at a few centers where there was problem due to less capacity to accommodate such a huge number of zealous youth.

The Provincial Coordinator, BBSYDP congratulated his team for such a fabulous job and said that it was an impossible task which his dedicated team made a shining reality and he thanked each member of his team who took part in the awareness campaign for the test. He further said that it is the great achievement of the Peoples’ Government that this program is very popular among the youth of Sindh who see it as an opening towards sustainable employment with bright future.
